Little Shepherd Trail KY-2010 Overlook

Overview. This overlook isn’t on any maps, but it’s a large patch of exposed rock with a steep slope facing southeast - making it an ideal spot for sunrise. You can enjoy the view from the road or walk down a few steps to have some all natural seating.

Trailhead. Limited parking is available with two forest roads departing from the Little Shepherd Trail. The overlook is just northeast of the parking area. [map]

Camping. You can setup camp not far from here at Goss Park in Kentenia State Forest.

Rebels Rock. Just below this overlook on KY-2010 is Rebels Rock - a fun hike on unmarked trails to the top of a large rock you can’t miss when driving on this winding mountain road.
