The mountain lake at Kingdom Come State Park

Overview. This short, quarter-mile loop around the small lake is a nice walk with plenty of ducks and a little fishin’ if you like. On this day, there was a family out enjoying themselves with some cane poles, small hooks, and plenty of bluegill.

CAUTION - Poisonous snakes. Timber rattlesnakes and copperheads can be found in the region. Stay alert on the trail, as snakes are commonly found taking in the warmth of the trail. Give them a wide berth or wait for them to move off the trail.
